Most of us had one up before we could drive. A poster from a magazine, curling at the corners, and it was always one specific car. Then came a real job and a real wall, and the poster came down.
Garage Muse is that picture, grown up. The one you had, the one you built, the one your dad sold, the one you're still talking about — drawn as the exact generation, not a generic sports-car shape, and cut out of a sheet of steel, two to five feet wide. We draw every one ourselves. There are over a thousand in the catalogue and we'll draw yours from a photo if it isn't.
We're in New York City, and we draw every piece here. The cutting and powder-coating is done by our manufacturing partner overseas, on production equipment we could not justify owning for one-off work. Cutting one piece at a time is the expensive way to make anything — that split is what lets us draw one car, for one person, and still price it like a product rather than a commission. Nothing is cut until the order is on it. Every design keeps its real proportions, which is why we publish the true dimensions at every size. A long car is long. That's the point.
